Description
In diesem Projekt geht es um eine Streckenerweiterung im Osten von Saarbrücken, die nach dem PeBfG und als BOStrab Strecke gebaut und betrieben werden soll. Derzeit führt die Linie 1 der Saarbahn von Lebach nach Saargemünd. Nach der bestehenden Haltestelle Römerkastell verläuft die Saarbahntrasse der Linie 1 derzeit 2-gleisig über eine Rampe in Richtung DB Bahnhof Brebach.
Die Streckenerweiterung in diesem Projekt beginnt am bestehenden Haltepunkt Römerkastell und verläuft entlang der Mainzer Straße bis zur Einfahrt in die Breslauer Straße
