Die aktuellen Gegebenheiten in Bezug auf Sicherheit, fehlende Trennung von sanitären Einrichtungen für Männer und Frauen sowie die notwendige Umsetzung der vorgeschriebenen Schwarz-/Weiß-Trennung gemäß den geltenden Vorschriften sind nicht mehr zeitgemäß und stellen ein erhebliches Sicherheitsrisiko dar. Des Weiteren leidet die Feuerwache unter akutem Platzmangel. Hinzukommt eine Aufstockung des Hauptamtspersonals.
Um die angespannte Situation vor Ort zu entlasten, soll nun der 2. Bauabschnitt angegangen werden. Der Bauabschnitt 2 teilt sich in 3 Gebäudeteile auf.
Die Stadt Hof beabsichtigt im ersten Schritt das Bauteil II des 2. Bauabschnittes - den Neubau der Fahrzeughalle zu realisieren, um die derzeit akut fehlenden Einstellplätze zu schaffen.
