Der Bundesbericht Forschung und Innovation (BuFI) erscheint seit 2008 alle zwei Jahre und beinhaltet eine zusammenfassende Darstellung der Prioritäten, Ziele und Strukturen der For-schungs- und Innovationspolitik Deutschlands. Gleichzeitig antwortet die Bundesregierung in den geraden Jahren mit dem BuFI auf die Gutachten der Expertenkommission Forschung und Innovation. Der Bericht richtet sich sowohl an ein Fachpublikum, insbesondere an Hochschulen, Forschungseinrichtungen, Verbänden und Unternehmen, als auch an eine interessierte breite Öffentlichkeit (siehe https://www.bundesbericht-forschung-innovation.de/).
