Das Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH beabsichtigt, eine Machbarkeitsstudie zur Installation einer kommerziellen DT-Neutronenquelle auf dem Campus des Forschungszentrums Jülich erstellen zu lassen. Ziel der Beauftragung ist die Untersuchung der technischen, baulichen, infrastrukturellen, strahlenschutztechnischen, genehmigungsrechtlichen und organisatorischen Voraussetzungen für die Installation und den Betrieb einer DT-Neutronenquelle. Die Machbarkeitsstudie soll durch ein fachlich geeignetes, unabhängiges Planungsunternehmen erstellt werden, das über die erforderlichen Erfahrungen und Kompetenzen in den relevanten Fachgebieten verfügt.
