Das ZDF beabsichtigt, die Weiterentwicklung des ZDF Streaming-Portals und dessen Mandanten 3sat-Mediathek sowie die Weiterentwicklung des Nachrichtenportals ZDFheute neu auszuschreiben. Die bestehenden Portale sollen für die Geräteklassen Desktop, Smartphone, Tablet und Smart TV in ihrer aktuellen Konzeption und Realisierung zunächst übernommen und im Fortlauf weiterentwickelt werden. Dazu soll mit den jeweiligen Auftragnehmern pro Los ein Rahmenvertrag für die Dauer von zwei Jahren samt dreimaliger Option zur Verlängerung um jeweils ein weiteres Jahr geschlossen werden.
