Description
Die Hanse- und Universitätsstadt Rostock plant die Eishalle in der Schillingallee 51 in Rostock grundhaft zu sanieren, sowie die Schaffung einer Interimslösung zur Überbrückung der Schließzeit während der Sanierung der Eissporthalle. Die Eissporthalle wurde in den Jahren 1970/1971 gebaut und im September 1971 eröffnet. Die statische Konstruktion des Gebäudes besteht aus einem außenliegenden Stahlrahmen mit untergehängter Deckenkonstruktion und separat gegründeten Außenwänden.
Sie ist für 1.500 Zuschauer zugelassen und unterliegt der Versammlungsstättenverordnung des Landes Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Damit gelten vor allem im Hinblick auf den Brandschutz und die Evakuierungsmöglichkeiten der Besucher besonders strenge Vorschriften. Die Eissporthalle wurde ergänzt durch ein Wirtschafts- und Funktionsgebäude, das neben Umkleide- und Sozialräumen, Räumen für Personal und Vereinsbüros, die Zentrale der Gebäudetechnik beherbergt.
Beide Gebäudeteile sind durch einen Verbindungstrakt erschlossen. Die Gebäude weisen unterschiedliche Erhaltungszustände aus.
