Dans le cadre des activités de la ligne de lumière pour rayons X mous ADRESS 2.0 de la Source de Lumière Suisse 2.0 (SLS 2.0) de l'Institut Paul Scherrer, un nouvel instrument expérimental de diffusion inélastique résonnante de rayons X (RIXS) fonctionnant sous ultra haut vide est requis ; cet instrument se compose d'un spectromètre RIXS et d'une chambre d'échantillon RIXS. La ligne de lumière ADRESS 2.0 couvre une plage d'énergie allant de 250 eV à 1700 eV et permet un contrôle variable de la polarisation. Le spectromètre RIXS doit être conçu de manière à pouvoir être soulevé sur des coussins d'air et pivoté autour de la chambre d'échantillon RIXS sur un sol en granit, avec une amplitude de mouvement d'au moins 130 degrés.
