Descripción

UZ Leuven zoekt een nieuw serverplatform (on prem) voor de volgende 4 jaar. UZ Leuven heeft vandaag 150 servers (blades en rackservers). 70 van deze 150 servers worden gebruikt voor VMWare en worden vandaag om de 4-5 jaar vervangen. De overige servers worden minimaal 5 jaar behouden.

Achtergrond UZ Leuven heeft 2 onsite datacenters. Dit zijn twee actief-actief datacenters: dit wil zeggen dat de meeste applicaties actief zijn in 1 datacenter en standby zijn in het andere. Dit wisselt in de tijd en het is voor elke applicatie verschillend in welk datacenter deze applicatie actief is.

Omwille van stabiliteits en redundantie-aspecten zijn deze datacenters zo weinig mogelijk gekoppeld aan mekaar. We willen beide datacenters op een zo uniforme en simpele manier monitoren en beheren.
