Description
In deze opdracht wenst het UZ Leuven over te gaan tot de aankoop van een geavanceerd systeem voor intraoperatieve beeldvorming. Het nieuwe systeem zal worden gebruikt bij chirurgische ingrepen aan de schedel en wervelkolom door neurochirurgen, orthopedisch chirurgen, traumachirurgen en maxillofaciale chirurgen. Het systeem moet in staat zijn om beeldvorming met hoge resolutie te leveren voor zowel wervelkolom- als schedeloperaties.
Het systeem moet realtime beeldvorming toelaten om chirurgen te ondersteunen tijdens complexe procedures. Toepassingen omvatten chirurgie voor wervelkolomdeformiteiten, degeneratieve en traumatische wervelkolomchirurgie, schedelbasis chirurgie, deep brain stimulation (DBS), stereotactische biopsie, enz. Omwille van het toepassingsgebied is compatibiliteit met een chirurgische navigatiesysteem (image guided surgery system) essentieel.
Hierbij kan het gaan om een eigen navigatiesysteem, of om een navigatiesysteem van een andere firma. Ook de beschikbaarheid van een robotsysteem voor spinale toepassingen, DBS, stereotactische biopsiename,… zal mee worden beoordeeld.
