Het voorwerp van de opdracht is het verlenen van de projectbegeleiding en technische ondersteuning nodig om tot de realisatie te komen van de aanleg van de Oostelijke Tangent herinrichting van de Sint-Niklaas. Hiertoe zal enerzijds een projectteam opgericht moeten worden die het project verder opvolgt en uitwerkt, en zal anderzijds het nodige studiewerk uitgevoerd moeten worden teneinde te komen tot afgesloten uitvoeringscontracten voor zowel de Oostelijke Tangent, evenals de mogelijke flankerende maatregelen. Daarnaast zal een communicatieteam de communicatie van het project verzorgen.
De opdracht omvat hoofdzakelijke technische, organisatorische, administratieve en communicatieve ondersteuning.
