Omschrijving: De gemeente Meise wenst verder in te zetten op gedifferentieerd parkeerbeleid i.f.v. het aanbieden van parkeerplaatsen voor zijn inwoners en bezoekers en i.f.v. het sturen van het autogebruik. Ter uitvoering van dit beleid wordt in verschillende delen van het grondgebied de parkeertijd beperkt door het invoeren van zogenaamde 'blauwe zones'. In deze zones is het conform de wegcode verplicht om de parkeerschijf te gebruiken.
Indien niet nader bepaald, kan men 2 uur parkeren. Het doel van het invoeren van de blauwe zone is om door de rotatie meer parkeergelegenheid te creëren. De gemeenteraad van de Gemeente Meise heeft in zitting van 17 mei 2021 een retributiereglement goedgekeurd omtrent parkeren in de blauwe zone.
Voor de handhaving van het parkeren in de blauwe zone, heeft het gemeentebestuur de keuze gemaakt om samen te werken met een gespecialiseerde firma.
