De opdracht start met de afspraak voor het ophalen van de feestverlichting en alle toebehoren zoals spankabels en beugels (eigendom Stad Brugge) en stockage hiervan bij nieuwe opdrachtnemer. De opdracht eindigt bij overdracht van dit alles bij de eventuele nieuwe opdrachtnemer. Plaatsing van de feestverlichting is voor elke kerstperiode voorzien in de maand november van het jaar, het weghalen van de verlichting in januari van het jaar daaropvolgend.
Concreet gaat het over volgende periodes: november 2026-januari 2027 november 2027-januari 2028 november 2028-januari 2029 november 2029-januari 2030 Het contract wordt opgevat als een raamcontract, maar het contract is niet exclusief. Het stadsbestuur is vrij om ook andere leveranciers of aannemers aan te stellen tot uitvoering van werkzaamheden inzake feestverlichting of gelijkaardig. Er wordt geopteerd om gedurende de vier jaren maximaal in te zetten op dezelfde feestverlichting.
