We zijn op zoek naar een massaspectrometer die in staat is een breed scala aan (microbieel geproduceerde) verbindingen te detecteren en te kwantificeren (onder andere peptiden, antibiotica, ...; van enkelvoudig geladen kleine moleculen tot grote, meervoudig geladen eiwitten), en dit met hoge doorvoer en gevoeligheid voor screeningsdoeleinden. Het is cruciaal dat het systeem ook laag-abundante verbindingen kan detecteren. De apparatuur moet compatibel zijn met een reeds aanwezige interne high-throughput-opstelling.
