VITO is momenteel bezig met de bouw van een nieuw laboratoriumgebouw, bestaande uit twee vleugels, een piloothal en een opslagzone. Deze infrastructuur moet worden uitgerust met een toegangscontrolesysteem dat volledig compatibel is met het bestaande systeem binnen VITO, namelijk SynGuard.
