Evenementen kunnen tot vele doelen dienen in een stad. Van het creëren van verbondenheid tussen de eigen inwoners, tot het bereiken van een breder bovenlokaal publiek en zorgen voor een positieve beleving in de stad bij zowel inwoners als bezoekers. Daarom zoekt het Roeselaarse stadsbestuur duurzame dienstverleners om samen aan de kwaliteit van onze evenementen te bouwen.
Evenementen in Roeselare zijn ook belangrijk binnen de stadsmarketingstrategie, via evenementen wil Stad Roeselare zich ook positioneren op de drie speerpunten: voeding, shopping en koers. De locatie van deze evenementen wisselt af maar zal vooral plaatsvinden in het kernwinkelgebied, dit in het teken van de verhoogde beleving in ons kernwinkelgebied en de extra aantrekking die de evenementen voor de lokale handel moeten betekenen.
