Yhteisöllinen asuminen on yksityisistä sosiaalipalveluista annetun lain 11 §:ssä tarkoitettua ilmoituksenvaraista sosiaalipalvelua. Palveluntuottaja huolehtii yhteisöllisen asumisen palvelusta. Hoivapalvelut tuotetaan kotihoidon palveluina ja tukipalveluina (myös sopimukseen perustuva alihankinta soveltuu) tilaajan Ikääntyneiden asiakasohjauksen tekemän palvelutarpeen arvioinnin mukaisesti.
Yhteisölliseen asumiseen kotihoitoa tuottavalla palveluntuottajalla on oltava asianmukaiset sosiaali- ja terveydenhuollon luvat. Hankinnan kohteena oleva palvelu on kuvattu tarkemmin osallistumispyynnön liitteellä yksi (1) palvelukuvaus. Tilaajan hankinnalle asettamat yksityiskohtaiset tavoitteet ovat:
- Asiakkaan valinnan vapauden edistäminen
- Palvelun laadun kehittäminen asiakastarpeita vastaavaksi
- Monituottajuusmallin tukeminen
