Durch die Struktur des Netzes, der Verbrauchsverläufe sowie aufgrund der Gegebenheiten vorhandener Netzkapazitäten, sind in einigen Regionen kapazitätserweiternde Maßnahmen erforderlich. Dies soll durch die Rückverdichtung des Gases in höhere Netzebenen erfolgen. Hierzu soll ein geeignetes Konzept erarbeitet werden, welches im weiteren Projektverlauf Grundlage für die Ausschreibung von Anlagentechnik einer konkreten Anlage verwendet werden kann.
Darüber hinaus soll durch das Konzept die Bewertung von Realisierungszeiträumen, Investitions- und Betriebskosten von möglichen Anlagen an weiteren Standorten abgeschätzt werden können.
