TenneT is, na het voeren van een onderhandelingsprocedure zonder voorafgaande bekendmaking, voornemens een opdracht te gunnen aan RWE Generation NL BV, teneinde de beschikbaarheid van de Amercentrale te garanderen ten behoeve van spanningshuishouding en het oplossen (danwel voorkomen) van transportbeperkingen in de Provincie Noord-Brabant. Onder de overeenkomst is de Amercentrale exclusief voor TenneT beschikbaar en in te zetten tussen 1 mei 2027 en 31 december 2028. De geraamde waarde van de overeenkomst is exclusief de kosten voor activatie van de eenheid (kosten voor biomassa, aardgas, CO2 emissierechten (EUA) en hulpstoffen).
