Description
The Programme GET.invest is a European programme that aims at mobilising investments in clean energy private sector projects and companies. It is hosted on the multi-donor platform GET.pro, implemented by GIZ, and supported by the European Union, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Austria. Its core mandate is to bridge the above-mentioned gap between companies seeking investments to develop their operations, and financiers seeking investees who present projects with viability, additionality and impact.
The Unique Selling Point of GET.invest is that it offers free and complementary services to a diverse range of industry stakeholders, each aimed at addressing specific industry-acknowledged challenges:
- Finance Access Advisory[1]: Provides expert consultancy in the areas above mentioned to increase companies" investment readiness in the form of one on one support (1:1).
- Finance Systems Advisory: Works with domestic finance institutions in partner countries for a better understanding, undertaking and financing of local clean energy projects seeking investment.
- Mobilisation: Builds the capacity of global industry associations by supporting their delivery of catalytic industry events (serving as platform for B2B, networking and sector synergies), private sector trainings (serving as pre-step group capacity building to companies who may be eligible for a follow-up 1:1 support by the FAA), and thought leading knowledge products.
- Information & Data: Provides reliable market intelligence and key data on the industry (via the PROSPECT data facility, the One-Stop Shop single entry portal into European funding/support instruments for green energy, the Market insights & the GET.invest Funding Database).
