Description
In het project DEEPER BLUE wordt het hergebruik van RWZI effluent tot drinkwater gekoppeld aan een ondergrondse buffering van het geproduceerde drinkwater, het zogenaamde Aquifer Storage en Recovery (ASR) principe. Waterunie, de dochteronderneming van waterbedrijven Farys en De Watergroep, realiseert dit project op de RWZI Aalst in samenwerking met Aquafin en ondersteund door het onderzoeksplatform CAPTURE. Dit initiatief kadert binnen een programma van de Vlaamse Milieumaatschappij dat deel uitmaakt van de Blue Deal van de Vlaamse Regering.
DEEPER BLUE staat voor ‘DEEP buffering for Effluent Reuse’.
