Het doel van de opdracht is het leveren, installeren en exploiteren van een applicatie (strooimanagementsysteem) dewelke de mogelijkheid biedt om het uitvoerende proces van de gladheidsbestrijding van het Agentschap Wegen en Verkeer te faciliteren en in beeld te brengen. De real-time data/informatie dewelke afkomstig is van het gladheidbestrijdingsmaterieel dient hierbij als basis en het strooimanagementsysteem moet deze informatie leesbaar weergeven waardoor AWV duidelijk inzicht krijgt in de strooiacties (zowel live als achteraf).
