Ziel des Vorhabens MULE II (FKZ 50RL2620) ist die Fortsetzung der mit dem Vorhaben MULE (FKZ 50RL2440) bereits begonnene Untersuchung der Machbarkeit eines Multi-User-Launchpads (MUL) am europäischen Weltraumbahnhof (CSG) in Kourou/Französisch Guyana. Während der Fokus bei MULE auf den Untersuchungen des ehemaligen Sojus-Startplatzes (ELS) lag, sollen im hier vorliegenden Anschlussvorhaben diese Untersuchungen auf den ehemaligen Ariane-4-Startplatz (ELA-2) ausgeweitet werden.
