De verschillende componenten van de opdracht worden verder toegelicht onder de titel technische bepalingen [zie titel III] en vormen essentiële vereisten voor deze opdracht. IVAGO wenst kwalitatieve voertuigen aan te schaffen met een zo groot mogelijk (ergonomisch en ander) rijcomfort voor haar chauffeurs en milieuwerkers, met een (zo) hoog (mogelijk) rijbereik, niveau van ecologie en maximaal laadvermogen. Bijkomend zal worden rekening gehouden met de veiligheid, garantie, onderhoudsbehoefte, dienstverlening na verkoop en de inhoud van het omnium onderhouds- en herstellingscontract.

De opdracht voor het leveren van de bovenbouw huisvuilwagen wordt via een aparte overheidsopdracht aanbesteed.
