Het doel van dit aanbestedingsdossier is de aankoop van een entautomaat voor het klinisch laboratorium van de ziekenhuizen AZ Turnhout, AZ Herentals en Heilig Hart Mol. De entautomaat zal geïnstalleerd worden in het gecentraliseerde laboratorium voor medische microbiologie op campus Sint Jozef te AZ Turnhout. Een entautomaat laat toe om het proces van het enten van microbiologische stalen op voedingsbodems en in vloeibare bouillons te automatiseren.
De entautomaat inoculeert ook op een automatische manier draagglaasjes voor Gramkleuring. Er bestaat een grote noodzaak om een entautomaat te implementeren in het gecentraliseerde microbiologisch labo HETUMO. Het aantal culturen voor microbiologie kende tussen 2021 en 2023 een sterke groei van +/- 15%.
Op piekdagen worden er actueel 460 stalen geënt en de verwachting is dat dit elk jaar met minstens 5% zal toenemen. Ook geven (toekomstige) fusies aanleiding tot een groter aantal stalen alsook de noodzaak om grote hoeveelheden stalen op één bepaald tijdstip te verwerken (gezien stalen vanuit alle campi getransporteerd worden naar de gecentraliseerde campus op Sint Jozef).
