De realisatie van een batterijopslagsysteem van 6 MW elektrisch vermogen en modulair energieopslagvolume tot 24 MWh inclusief 10 jarige onderhoudsperiode. Het opslagsysteem zal worden gerealiseerd op de Zweedse Kaai te Havengebied Zeebrugge en zal de werking van de cruiseterminal met walstroominstallatie ondersteunen en ook de energietransitie in bredere zin. "Het doel van het project is meerledig: - Voortrekkersrol ten aanzien van concessionarissen vervullen wat betreft klimaat en duurzaamheid - Faciliteren energietransitie (mitigatie van de mismatch tussen tijdstip productie vs. verbruik - netondersteuning) - Kennisopbouw rond een nieuwe technologie die zowel in stationaire toepassingen als maritieme toepassingen in de toekomst steeds belangrijker zal worden - Versterken van beschikbaarheid van antenneaansluiting HS naar Zweedse Kaai - Back-up voor walstroominstallatie bij cruiseschepen met hoog piekverbruik"
