De "Kwalitatieve impactstudie van SMILE-training en mentoringondersteuning op de interactie tussen leerkracht en leerling en de betrokkenheid van leerlingen" (hierna de SMILE-leerstudie genoemd) heeft tot doel het inzicht te verdiepen in hoe SMILE-interventies zich in de klas ontvouwen. Meer specifiek zijn de belangrijkste doelstellingen van deze studie:
- Inzicht krijgen in hoe leerkrachten klaspraktijken toepassen die de betrokkenheid van leerlingen bevorderen - en uiteindelijk bijdragen aan het verbeteren van de leerresultaten - na een training via het SMILE-programma.
- Onderzoeken hoe mentoringondersteuning leerkrachten helpt deze praktijken effectief te implementeren.
