De erfgoedsite Alden Biesen in Bilzen is van strategisch belang voor Vlaanderen en vraagt een duurzame, toekomstgerichte aanpak. Er ontbreekt momenteel een overkoepelend plan, wat leidt tot inefficiëntie in beheer en renovatie. Het doel van dit project is het opstellen van een masterplan voor de komende 10 à 15 jaar dat de erfgoedwaarde respecteert, inspeelt op hedendaagse comfort- en energievraagstukken en een gestructureerd investerings- en onderhoudsplan biedt.

Daarnaast bevat de opdracht de studie voor een eerste deelproject: de exterieurrestauratie van de waterburcht.
