De stad Herentals wil een nieuwe stadsfeestzaal bouwen op een locatie aan de Belgiëlaan, vlakbij en ter vervanging van de huidige feestzaal ’t Hof. Hiervoor werd de voorbije jaren strategisch aankoopbeleid gevoerd en voorbereidend studiewerk geleverd. Binnen deze ontwikkeling wordt eveneens een publieke centrumparking voorzien, ter vervanging van de huidige bovengrondse parking, met een capaciteit van 250 wagens.
Bovengronds wordt een nieuw parkdeel aangelegd, aansluitend op het bestaande stadspark. Voor dit alles voorziet de stad een bouwbudget van 18.500.000 euro excl. btw en erelonen.
