Zorgbedrijf Meetjesland beoogt een nieuw WZC Ter Caele te bouwen. Aanvang van de werken is voorzien op 01.08.2026. Voorafgaand dient de zijbeuk van het oude woonzorgcentrum waarin het onthaal, de cafetaria en keuken zijn ondergebracht afgebroken te worden om plaats te maken voor de werfzone voor de nieuwbouw.
Door de afbraak van het huidige keukengedeelte voorzien we dat de maaltijden voor de rusthuisbewoners, bewoners Serviceflats en het aanpalende dienstencentrum warm aangeleverd worden vanuit WZC Ten Oudenvoorde tot in keukenunits te voorzien aan de achterzijde van het huidige WZC Ter Caele. De duurtijd van de huur van de units wordt bijgevolg geraamd op 32 maanden ( van 01/02/2026 tot en met 30/09/2028)
