Howest, de Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen, wenst een uitbreiding van haar studentenhuisvesting in Brugge, om tegemoet te komen aan de vraag in de organisatie. Op 15 september 2026 kunnen hoger onderwijsinstellingen zich kandidaat stellen voor het verkrijgen van een renteloze lening voor het verwerven van basisstudentenhuisvesting (met gemeenschappelijk sanitair en keuken) en Howest wenst aan deze oproep deel te nemen. Howest wil een samenwerking aangaan met een private partner voor de verwerving van een gebouw met grond en aanhorigheden, geschikt voor het uitbaten van minstens 100 studentenkamers met basiscomfort, in de buurt van de campus Brugge Station.
