De huidige website van Limburg.net voldoet niet langer aan de hedendaagse verwachtingen op vlak van gebruiksgemak, efficiënt contentbeheer en technische integratiemogelijkheden. Het websiteplatform is verouderd en sluit onvoldoende aan bij de operationele behoeften van de organisatie. Er is nood aan:

Efficiënter beheer van inhoud, waarbij redacteurs intuïtiever kunnen werken binnen het CMS
Betere integratie met backoffice- en externe systemen
Realtime inzichten in bezoekersgedrag en interacties, om de dienstverlening continu te kunnen verbeteren
Verbeterde performantie, veiligheid en schaalbaarheid, aangepast aan de hedendaagse digitale normen. Daarnaast beantwoordt de huidige website niet meer aan de standaarden op vlak van toegankelijkheid (WCAG) en mobiel gebruik, wat het gebruik door burgers bemoeilijkt. Een herontwikkeling is dan ook noodzakelijk om een toekomstgerichte, efficiënte en publieksgerichte digitale dienstverlening te garanderen.
