De provincie Vlaams-Brabant wenst in de provinciedomeinen van Kessel-Lo en Halve Maan te Diest nieuwe natuurlijke openluchtzwembaden met bijhorende gebouwen en omgevingsaanleg te realiseren. Een technisch performante en duurzame techniek voor de zwembaden, een integratie in de bestaande landschappelijke structuur van de domeinen en in het beheer van deze activiteit is cruciaal om tot een kwalitatieve beleving te komen.
