De afdeling Pathologie van het UMC Utrecht is voornemens over te gaan tot de aanschaf van nieuwe coupescanners van Hamamatsu. De opdracht omvat de aanschaf van 5 coupescanners met bijbehorende software, voor een periode van vijf jaar. De scanners worden eigendom van de afdeling Pathologie en heeft naar verwachting een technische en economische levensduur van ten minste vijf jaar.
De geraamde waarde van de aanschaf bedraagt € 216.000,00 exclusief btw. Inclusief onderhoud voor 5 jaar overschrijdt de opdracht de geldende aanbestedingsdrempel. De aan te coupescanners moeten beschikken over een aantal specifieke, objectief bepaalde technische en functionele eigenschappen.
Op basis van deze eisen is geconcludeerd dat slechts één leverancier in staat is om aan de volledige vraagbehoefte te voldoen, namelijk Hamamatsu.
