De werken omvatten het verwijderen van alle ruimingsproducten uit de bedding van de Kasteelgracht tussen de Menenpoort en de Rijselpoort. De ruimingsspecie wordt door het Bestuur bepaald op basis van de opgemeten hoeveelheden en wordt vastgesteld op 15660 m³. De werken omvatten:

het verwijderen en afvoeren van alle ruimingsproducten, andere dan ruimingsspecie.
het verwijderen en afvoeren van het oorspronkelijke bodem- en oevermateriaal tot op de peilen van het te realiseren profiel.
het preventief detecteren, opsporen en ruimen van CTE (niet ontplofte conventionele en toxische explosieven in het slib)
de ontwatering van de geruimde specie
de afvoer van de ontwaterde specie naar een plaats van hergebruik buiten de werf en/of de afvoer naar een verwerkingsinstallatie en/of de afvoer naar een stortplaats.
