De opdracht heeft tot voorwerp het sluiten van een raamovereenkomst met één opdrachtnemer voor een geïntegreerde end-to-end dienstverlening inzake WiFi-as-a-Service voor studentenhomes. De dienstverlening omvat onder meer de levering, installatie, exploitatie, monitoring, het beheer en de ondersteuning van draadloze netwerken, internetconnectiviteit, eindgebruikersondersteuning, authenticatie via EduRoam en de mogelijkheid tot een persoonlijk draadloos netwerk per kamer voor diverse toestellen. Internettoegang vormt een kritische basisvoorziening voor studenten.
De opdracht legt daarom niet uitsluitend de nadruk op technische dekking, maar ook op beschikbaarheid, performantie, monitoring, incidentbeheer, servicelevels en gebruikersondersteuning.
