Hankinnan kohteena on maastopelastusjärjestelmä Lapin hyvinvointialueen pelastus- ja ensihoitopalveluiden käyttöön. Maastopelastusjärjestelmää hyödynnetään pääasiassa tehtävätietojen välittämisessä sopimuspalokunnille, pelastuslaitoksen ja sopimuspalokuntien tehtävään liittyvässä viestinnässä, operatiivisessa johtamisessa sekä karttasovelluksena. Lisäksi maastopelastusjärjestelmä toimii kenttäjohtojärjestelmän varajärjestelmänä.
Hankinnan kohteena oleva maastopelastusjärjestelmä tukee erityisesti sopimuspalokuntien operatiivista toimintaa, sekä toimii maastopelastustehtävien karttasovelluksena. Hankinnan kohde on kuvattu tarkemmin tarjouspyynnössä ja sen liitteissä, erityisesti liitteessä 1 Hankinnan kohde.
