EcoWerf wenst een nieuwe overslagsite te bouwen aan de nieuw te bouwen loskade aan de Vaart in Leuven. De kade wordt aangelegd door de De Vlaamse Waterweg. Het perceel voor de bouw van de overslagsite bedraagt 8.327 m².
Volgende functionaliteiten zijn nodig op de site - Overslaghal - Technieken om het afval te persen in de nodige recipiënten voor vervoer over water - Weegbruggen - Beperkte kantoorruimte, refter en sanitaire voorzieningen voor de werknemers van de overslaghal - Technische ruimte - Industriële hal voor gebruik voor derden - Parkeerplaatsen - Groene buffer - Waterhuishouding (infiltratiecapaciteit) De site moet zo ontworpen dat de logistieke stromen optimaal verlopen, rekening houdend met de overstromingsgevoeligheid van het terrein en de bundel aan nutsleidingen die op het terrein liggen. De vooropgestelde planning van het project is als volgt: - Aanstelling ontwerpteam: juni 2026 - Voorontwerp: augustus 2026 - december 2026 - Adviesvraag: januari 2027 - Opmaak vergunningsaanvraag: februari - maart 2027 - Vergunningsprocedure: april - augustus 2027 - Aanbestedingsdossier: mei - november 2027 - Bouw: maart 2027 - augustus 2029 Het geraamde projectbudget voor de bouw van de site is 6.000.000 euro (excl btw).
