Deze plaatsingprocedure beoogt het aanstellen van een opdrachtnemer voor het uitvoeren van een ruimtelijk ontwerpend onderzoek voor alle ongelijkvloers in te richten spoorwegovergangen (kruisingen weg/spoor), namelijk:
- het knooppunt Afrikalaan-Vliegtuiglaan
- de Meulesteedsesteenweg-Muidepoort
- de Terneuzenlaan
- de Wiedauwkaai
- de Maïsstraat. Dit ruimtelijk ontwerpend onderzoek impliceert ook het aftoetsen van de technische en financiële haalbaarheid van de conceptueel uitgetekende fietsbrug ter hoogte van het knooppunt Hogeweg/Singel, waarbij eveneens wordt onderzocht of een andere ongelijkvloerse oplossing technisch en financieel haalbaar is zonder aan fietscomfort in te boeten.

- Spoorkruising met de Voorhaven. Ruimtelijk ontwerpend onderzoek voor de in te richten fietskruising met het spoor L58 tussen knooppunt Afrikalaan-Vliegtuiglaan (1) en de spoorwegkruising Meulesteedsesteenweg-Muidepoort (2), cfr. ‘raamplan voor de voorlopige zuidelijke havenring van april 2021’
- Fietskruising met het spoor als verbinding tussen Houtdokpark en Muide/Meulestede.
