VMM wil meerdere opdrachten plaatsen voor de verdere ontwikkeling van de grondwatermodule van NEMO. NEMO, het NutriëntenEmissieMOdel, berekent voor Vlaanderen de vrachten van stikstof en fosfor vanuit de landbouw naar het oppervlaktewater. Het raamcontract kadert binnen een gefaseerd traject voor de verdere ontwikkeling van de grondwatermodule van het NEMO-model, ondersteund door PIO.
De opdracht omvat het onderzoeken, uitwerken en vergelijken van verschillende concepten voor de grondwatermodule van NEMO. Vervolgens, implementatie van één voorkeursconcept in NEMO, inclusief modelkoppelingen en integratie in bestaande modelstructuren, en toepassing voor heel Vlaanderen.
