Woonwijzer Waasland is door de Vlaamse Overheid aangesteld als Energiehuis voor de zeven gemeenten uit het Waasland. Energiehuizen hebben als taak om inwoners uit hun werkingsgebied te begeleiden bij al hun vragen over energie, energie besparen, renovatie en de mogelijkheid omtrent premies en leningen hiervoor. Dit gebeurt door informatieverstrekking, het voorzien van woon- en energieloketten in de gemeenten, het verstrekken van de Vlaamse Mijn VerbouwLening en renovatieadvies aan huis.
In kader van de hervorming van de financiering van het renovatieadvies aan huis tot ‘Mijn VerbouwBegeleiding’, bepaalt de Vlaamse Overheid dat deze financiering volledig via het Energiehuis zal verlopen en niet meer zoals in het verleden via Fluvius rechtstreeks aan alle uitvoerders. Om de capaciteit voor deze renovatiebegeleiding van particulieren te vergroten in het Waasland, wenst Woonwijzer Waasland hiervoor een externe partij aan te stellen.
